Halloweenfest in Brevard on Saturday, October 29 was a bust for us. After a couple of hours the wind gusted and badly damaged our canopy, nearly sending it into the vender next to us. The turn-out was low due to cold, windy conditions.

The Arts On Main festival in downtown Hendersonville on October 1st, and 2nd was held in very windy conditions. We had quite a good turn out on Saturday, but the wind was so difficult to deal with that we did not participate on Sunday. Many exhibitors had their tents and displays badly damaged in the wind. We hope to see many of you at the Saturday classes with Pete.

Pete and Karen entered artwork in the judging at the Mountain State Fair over Labor Day weekend and won second and third place respectively. Pete entered a painting of an apple basket at the base of a fence post in a field with a bird sitting on the post. Karen entered a painting on slate of an old world Santa pulling a sled.

We had a great time at the White Squirrel Festival on Memorial Day weekend.  We met many new friends, sold a couple of paintings and demonstrated the Bob Ross technique by painting nearly 20 paintings over the two days.

We drew crowds each time we painted and were able to show people how much fun painting can be. Hopefully we will be seeing new students at the Rec Center.

We now have Gift Certificates for sale so you can surprise your family and friends with a painting lesson that they will enjoy.

We also have initiated a client appreciation program that will give you a free lesson after attending eight paid lessons. You will get a card that when presented at any class, will be marked by your instructor. After eight spaces are marked, present the card for a free lesson.
